Travis Chapple
MSc* Big Data Analyst, BSc Computer Scientist
Personal Statement
A Course Leading & Motivated MSc Big Data Analytics student at Sheffield Hallam University, with a strong foundation in Computer Science and a practical understanding of full-stack development, data analysis, and team-based projects.
I bring hands-on experience in Python, SAS, and data-driven programming with a focus on real-world applications, including AI/ML for medical image analysis and full-cycle software delivery using C#, React, and ASP.NET. My academic background is complemented by projects involving clustering algorithms, mobile-friendly interfaces, CRUD functionality, and visual analytics.
In parallel, my role at Tesco has honed vital soft skills in communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership under pressure, skills I believe are essential for contributing effectively in cross-functional teams. I am eager to contribute to mobile app development, real-time data integration, and analytics reporting within a dynamic team, while gaining deeper exposure to cloud platforms, IoT integration, and modern development frameworks.
